About

In 2010, my Dad decided that instead of me walking behind him with my Little Tikes mower, he would teach me how to use his mower. Amazingly, my Mom took a picture of Dad and me mowing for the very first time. And since age 7, I haven’t stopped.

After mowing the family yard for three years, our neighbors Denny & Pat Gillett asked if I could mow their front yard. Since 2013, they have remained my first and BEST customer!

The other neighbors began to notice and started asking me to mow their yards as well. Now, eight years later, I service the lawn care needs of many of my neighbors throughout the Misty Ridge Estates neighborhood.

Over the years, I have purchased more efficient and higher quality equipment with the money I have saved. I now own and operate a Ferris zero turn 52-inch deck riding mower. I also have invested my earnings in all the other equipment required to service my neighbors: quality edgers, blowers, a skid steer, a truck, and most recently, an enclosed trailer.

My Dad is an entrepreneur and owns several businesses. I have seen the joy and excitement he has about the work he accomplishes daily. I feel the same way about the services I am offering to my community!

MY STORY

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." Proverbs 24:3-4

In 2016, my brother and I began our homeschool journey with my Mom. I have been classically trained in both my education and in piano. While I was studying the writings of the first poets like Homer and Hesiod, I was diligently practicing how to play the music of Mozart and Beethoven. 2022 marks my 13th year of studying piano with Mrs. Susan Crosser in her Grand Rapids Suzuki Studio.

I have always enjoyed being outside and love camping and boating with my family in the summer. My favorite place to visit is Arizona…but really anywhere warm is my preference.

My Dutch heritage has taught me the value of hard work. I am thankful for the example my grandparents and parents have set before me.

Praise for Grass

by Bradley T. VanDerKolk

Praise be to God for lawns

On which my mower seems drawn.

It’s growth in Spring, Summer, and Fall

Bring happiness to me most of all.

Each customer I have made a pledge

To mow, trim, blow and edge.

I start each week atop my mower

Hoping summer will go slower.

Latin Translation

Laudas Deo herbis

In quae me herbisectro stricto.

Auctifica in Vere, Aestate, et Autumno

Efficunt laetitiam mihi multo cuncti.

Cliens omnis feci plegium

Metere, resecare, spirare, attondere.

Incipio hebdomadem omnem in me herbisectro

Volo Aestas ibit contantior.
